Meet Mason who played Lassie in the Remake of Lassie Come Home 2005-2006
In 2005 I was notified, that Classic Media doing a nationwide search for a collie that could play Lassie in the remake of "Lassie Come Home"
Mason was purchased by my good friend Denise Schroeder when he was 8wks old, and I encourage Denise to send pictures of him to Hollywood. (Northern Classic Collies).
The film production company saw the picture of Mason and contacted Denise to come and see him . They will thrilled by his appearance and especially his character.
Mason was to be their star in the movie.. Along with Dakota & Carter (from Texas) to play the stunt dogs. Mason was flown to Los Angeles to train for 3 months and the cast was flown to Ireland, for 4 months. All the collies were trained by Mathilde De Cagny. The movie was a big success and Mason was the star, playing at least 80% of the movie.
Mason will always be our star in our small town and has appeared in many nursing homes, and schools with his wonderful personality.. I am am very proud to say I was the breeder of such a fine dog.
